Author Rebecca Chace asked me to do a card that would read like a poem. I made it simple referencing E.B. White’s belief that less is more.
Artist, Ken Buhler uses a lot of stamps and stencils in his work, so I used Din Round for the text to reference the softness of the rubber stamps. The opposite side are crops of some of his pieces.
Matt Pearson focuses on the ugly gritty side of the world. For his contact information I used Freight a typeface designed for newspapers. The background is a texture of touché wash a substrate used in lithography, Matt’s favorite print technique.
